New Zealand Weather

The island country of New Zealand is located in the Pacific Ocean. There are two main landmasses which constitute the country and those are the north and south islands. There are several smaller islands which are part of the country as well. New Zealand weather is temperate maritime and mild climate with an average temperature which ranges from 10 Celsius (50 Fahrenheit) to 16 Celsius (61 Fahrenheit) depending which island you are on. The temperatures that you will find depend on where in the country you are. New Zealand is not as small as people think it to be. New Zealand will see snow on both islands, but it is most common in the south. The further north that you get, the more rare snow becomes.

The country of New Zealand is great to visit during the summer which is December, January and February. The temperatures during the day in the winter range from 23 Celsius (73 Fahrenheit) to 24.4 Celsius (75.9 Fahrenheit). There have been times when the temperature has reached extremely high temperatures but those are not the norm. The south island can get considerable snow and cooler weather during the winter but during the summer it has some of the most beautiful views you will ever see.
